I started playing at the age of 13. By the time I was 15 I had begun taking private guitar lessons on a regular basis from Roy Berlin who taught Delian Music Center in Los Angeles, California. After some time I began taking lessons from other instructors in Hollywood and Burbank. Later, on the advice of another guitarist who was working for a major retail musical instrument store, I contacted and began study under Kurt Mayo who influenced me the most and inspired me to consider all music genres. I also studied under professors specializing in classical guitar at El Camino Community College, Santa Monica City College, and in 2009 I took some online courses through Berklee College of Music. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years now, and my talents include writing, composing and arranging of rock, acoustic and neo-classical music. I am a former member of the bands “Never’s Edge” and “Sun Goddess,” and I have also undertaken my own acoustic music project. In addition to that, I have also given on screen guitar lessons through a public access TV station. I am experienced playing 6 through 12 string acoustic and electric guitar as well as 4 through 12 string bass. Consulting and advising clients on the purchase of guitars, amps, and accessories are another one of my fortes.
